  • Clear and Simple Design: My resume was clean, neat, and professional. I made sure all the details—contact info, education, and experience—were easy to find.

  • Personal Summary: At the top, I included a short but impactful summary of my goals and the skills I could offer.

  • Highlighting Education and Experience: My Business Admin degree and internships were front and center, so employers could immediately see my qualifications.

  • Skills That Matter: I highlighted the skills most important for office administration jobs, like organization, proficiency in office tools, multitasking, and effective communication.

Networking turned out to be the secret weapon in my job search. Hindi pala basta mag-submit ka lang ng resume—it’s about connecting with the right people.   • Follow-Up: After every interview, I sent a thank-you email to show professionalism and genuine interest.


The Interview Day: All the Preparation Pays Off


The day of my interview, I was a mix of nerves and excitement. As I sat down for the Skype interview, I took a deep breath and reminded myself that preparation was key. The HR manager greeted me warmly, and right away, I felt at ease.


What really surprised me was when the HR manager said, “Don’t worry about speaking perfect English; Tagalog will do,” which immediately made me feel relaxed. They then told me, “It’s all up to you now. If you’re interested in the role, let us know, and we’ll send over the contract.”


Within minutes, I confirmed my interest, and just a short time later, I received the official offer. The best part? The job was located right in my hometown of Clark, Pampanga. I was able to review, sign, and return the contract—all in one day.

Looking back, what truly amazed me was how quickly everything fell into place. From sending out applications to receiving the job offer, it all took only about two weeks. Pero hindi lang ito dahil sa swerte—it was because I followed the right steps: creating a standout resume, building connections, and preparing well for interviews.
